The following spreadsheet has the breakdown by gender and race for each state for AP CSP.

The percentage of females that took the AP CSA exam in the US in 2017 was 23.5%. This was up slightly from 23.2% the previous year. The percentage of Black (African Americans) students was 3.74% which was up slightly from 3.72 the previous year. The percentage of Hispanic students was 11.57% up from 11.5 the previous year.

I created a new chart of the log base 2 of the female/male ratio for the 2017 exams similar to the chart that Brian Danielak had created for 2013 data using Tableau. Notice that AP CSA is still the exam with the lowest
ratio of female to male exam takers. It was 23.5% female. AP CSP is not all that much better at 30% female. As you can see from the chart the majority of AP exams are majority female. The size of the circles is the number of exam takers.
