General Information on Summer 2008 Summer Camps

First Day

The COC student assistant will arrive at 8:30am and do any set-up for the day
The COC student assistant will get a group from the parking lot drop off at 8:50am. The CEISMC assistant will bring the rest up at 9:00am.
Instruction starts at 9:00am
The teacher should introduce herself/himself and introduce the student assistants.
Hand out pre surveys and have the students fill them out with a pen. Gather them up and put them in an envelope with the name and dates of the camps on it and return to Felicia.
After lunch take the kids to TSRB and take their pictures in front of the greenscreen (check with Felicia for who to contact and where this is)
Instruction ends at 3:00pm
Do clean-up before you leave!

Every Day

Take pictures of both the whole group and individuals. Take movies if appropriate.
Do some CS Unplugged activities (see http://www.csunplugged.org)
Jot down problems and things that go well during the camp and turn these in each day to the teacher.

At least one day

Last Day

Be sure to do a group picture of the whole group
Hand out post surveys before parent show and have the student fill them out with a pen. Gather them up and put them in an envelope and return to Felicia.
Gather all student work and put each student's work in a directory with his or her name on it. Put this on a flash drive or the portable drive.
Parent show from 2pm - 3pm
Give the students a certificate, a t-shirt, a page telling the students were to download the software from and where the camp URL is.
Have available the ACM career brochure and the Image your future in Computing brouchure.
Upload the pictures from the week to the swiki page for the camp
