Girl Scout Workshops 2008-2009

709 Girls from Sept 2008 - April 2009

September 26th Inman Girl Scouts Training - PicoCrickets - Anthony, Kate here at Georgia Tech on the 3rd floor
Oct 21st 3:30pm - 6:00pm Radhika
Ocdt 28th 3:30pm - 6:00pm Radhika

The Dad and Me events are held at camp Misty Mountain. We need to arrive
Sat before dinner and work Sunday 9am-12pm. The Girl Scouts
call this Mountain Jubilee. The girls scouts will provide the robots and laptops.
The first weekend we want 3 students to go since they have to build all the robots. But, for other weekends we just
need 2.
Lissa can pick up the students and drive them there and back.
Sept 13-14 2008 - Dad and Me - Carolina, Celines, Rachel - has pictures - about 16 girls
Sept 20-21 2008 - Dad and Me - Kate and Manas - About 40 girls
Sept 27-28 2008 - Dad and Me - Celines and Carolina - has pictures - about 45 girls
Oct 4-5th 2008 - Dad and Me - Rachel, Madhura - About 40 girls

The Mom and Me events are held at Camp Merriweather - Serendipity
(1 hour sessions with Girl Scouts's 8 cricket kits and Girl Scout laptops)
We need to have someone going each weekend that can drive. We need just 2 people each weekend.
We will go up on Friday night (or early Sat morning). We will work 9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm. Students should
arrive before 6:00pm on Friday night.
Oct 3-4 2008 - Mom and Me - Adity, Jordan - about 20 girls
Oct 10-11 2008 - Mom and Me - Kate, Vinaya (if needed Radhika, ) - has pictures - about 40 girls and 33 moms
Oct 17-18 2008 - Mom and Me - Rachel and Kate (if needed Radhika, ) - has pictures about 20 girls

The following workshops are from 10am - 2pm
Oct 18, 2008 - PicoCrickets Basic (60 max, 18 attended) Klaus 1453 and 1447 - Celines, Radhika, Vinutha - has pictures
Nov 8th 2008 - LEGO robots (45 max, 28 attended) Klaus 1456, do a mini competition. We provide laptops and robots. - Karmelia, Madhura, Radhika, Vinutha
Nov 15, 2008 - Alice (65 max, 48 attended) Klaus 2447, 35 or our laptops and 30 from girl scouts. - Lauren, Kate, Vinaya, Radhika, Adity, Madhura
Nov 22, 2008 - Scratch (20-25 girls expected, 17 attended) Klaus 2447 , Lissa is providing the laptops - Vinaya, Vinutha, and Adity,
Nov 23, 2008 - Alice (20-25 girls expected, 18 attended) Klaus 2456 , Lissa is providing the laptops - Jordan, Kate, and Anthony
Dec 6, 2008 - PicoCrickets at Nordson Corp (50 max-check on room size) we provide laptops and crickets and need van and a driver. - Celines, Karmelia, and Anthony.

Jan 10, 2009 - Crickets Hispanic Inititive - (55 girls registered, 44 attended) Vinaya, Madhura, Kate, Adity, Rachel, Celines
Jan. 17, 2009 - Mission Robotics Basics (37 girls registered, 38 attended) girl scouts bring 20 robots and 20 laptops - Karmelia, Vinaya, Radhika, Kate
Jan. 31, 2009 - Scratch. Klaus 1456.(66 girls registered, 56 attended) girl scouts bring 30 laptops - Karmelia, Vinaya, Kate, Adity, Radhika, Vinutha
Feb. 3, 2009 - Girl Scouts Meet and Greet. 4-6pm. Georgia Power Company, 241 Ralph McGill Boulevard , NE Atlanta, Georgia 30308.
Feb. 7, 2009 - Cricket. Klaus 1456. (41 girls registered, 31 attended) we provide laptops and crickets, Kate, Adity, Vinaya, Radhika
Feb. 14, 2009 - Alice. Klaus 1456. (55 max, 60 attended) girl scouts bring 40 laptops - Karmelia, Kate, Radhika, Vinutha
March 7, 2009 - Cricket (33 registered, 17 attended) we provide crickets and laptops -Radhika, Vinutha, Carolina, Celines
March 22, 2009 - Cricket (Dalton Girl Scout Office) (20 girls registered, 21 attended) 2 of our crickets and girl scouts provide 8 and 10 laptops. need a driver - Karmelia(driving?), Radhika
March 29, 2009 - Scratch Volunteer Service Center. (20 girls registered, 20 attended) - Kate and Karmelia.
April 18, 2009 - Mission Robotics Extreme .Klaus room 2443 (32 registered and 22 attended). our robot and laptops - Karmelia, Radhika, Celines, Vinutha
