July 18-22nd - Explorers III Parent Show Projects
We listen to and create music everyday! In this camp students will use Scratch, Java, and Lego NXT robots to explore sound and create musical instruments. Perhaps students will invent a new type of instrument during this camp!
Scratch is free software from MIT which makes it easy to explore computing concepts using drag-and-drop programming. See http://www.nebomusic.net/EineKlieneAnimation.html for an example of the type of Scratch activity students can do. For more information see http://scratch.mit.edu. LEGO NXT robot kits can be used to create a variety of robots. For more information see http://www.legoeducation.us/store/detail.aspx?CategoryID=178&by=9&ID=1263&c=1&t=0&l=0.
