July 5-8th - Explorers I Parent Show Projects
This camp is for rising 4th-6th graders. It introduces students to the elements of creating with Scratch, Scratch Boards or PicoCrickets, and LEGO We-Do's. Students will also work with the Pleo (dinosaur) robot to discover how sensors, programming, and motors work together to create artificial life! Students will use basic computing concepts such as conditionals, looping, variables, sequence, and events to create and program games, interactive art, and LEGO Creations.
Scratch is free software from MIT. See http://scratch.mit.edu for more information on Scratch. For more information on LEGO WeDo see http://www.legoeducation.us/store/detail.aspx?ID=1573&bhcp=1.
