Question: I saw that in the summer 07, the students were able to use a command playFromMeOn that Dawn was able to add onto SoundNode.java. Are we able to add that to out SoundNode.java, and use it as well? If not, what is the best way to make our music play during our turtle dance?

The summer 07 assignment used linked lists of sounds. This assignment will be using the Sound class, instead of SoundNode which is linked lists of sounds. You will need to incorporate s.play() and s.blockingPlay() (s is an instance of the Sound class) into your code to play the Sound. Joel Uthe.
Actually we ended up using SongNode, which is a linked list of SongPhrases; both of these are part of the JMusic section that has not been covered in class. This semester's homework 3 is asking you to deal with Sounds just by themselves and not as data within a node of a linked list so you cannot use SoundNode or playFromMeOn. Like REMOVEDel said you have to incorporate play and blockingPlay from Sound to satisfy the requirements. Dawn Finney

I got my dance to work (turtles on a picture not world - so I'm using FrameSequence). However, it either plays the sounds all before (when I put the use the play() method inside the for loop to add frames), or not at all (when I use an if/else if/else statement to find the framenumber i.e. If (f.getFrameNumber() == 1)... etc. so basically. how can i fix this error to get the sound to play during the dance rather than all at the beginning when it is adding frames?
