Subject: tools.jar file

I am trying to open my tools.jar jar file which I put in my C:\cs1316-cd-FA07 directory. However, when I click on it I recieve and error message. I have also tried locating this folder when I open Dr. Java however, I have recieved error messages in the past. I am unable to make any compilations due to this. Please help me as soon as possible! Thanks.

You shouldn't be moving the tools.jar file into your directory. Leave it in the default place where Java installs it. I would recommend uninstalling Java and reinstalling it. Also there is no reason to try and open the tools.jar file. When you open Dr. Java, point it to the correct location and that is all that is needed.
