- The adaptive OS is far more robust than the nonadaptive BF rule.
- Unless Jake's design differs by two orders of magnitude from Steve's,
the efficiency reduction of OS is minimal (acceptable?)
- The worst case for BF and OS occur in the same place.
- While not shown here, the relative efficiencies for the MP and HP
rules mirror the behavior of the OS rule, i.e.,
all of the adaptive rules are very robust
The above was like-to-like comparisons. What about comparing different
rules, in particular, what about adaptive rules with different design
and analysis parameterizations versus fixed rules with consistent parameters?
