Yin Wang

I earned my B.S. dnd M.S. degrees in Automatic Control at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Afterwards I worked with Stéphane Lafortune and Scott Mahlke at the EECS department of the University of Michigan for my Ph.D. My dissertation research is in the systems area in general, especially about concurrency and distributed systems. My work experiences in the US include a researcher position at HP Labs for distributed systems and big data, and an engineering position at Facebook for infrastructure and AI. At Facebook, I co-found the maps team using AI techniques, and was the first tech lead of the team. After almost a decade in Silicon Valley, I am now a professor and an entrepreneur in China.
