Email to people whose requested appointment slot is accepted. I sent these through the “email participants” option of the event on my Google Calendar, so it included date/time info automatically. Hello, Your requested scan appointment has been approved. Thank you for your willingness to participate in this study. Here is everything you need to know for your scan. - here (http://www.virginia.edu/webmap/LFontaineResearch.html) is a map of Fontaine Research Park. You need to get to the Snyder Building, which is #8 on this map. If you have any UVa Parking Pass, you can park right in front of the Snyder Building. If not, you can park in Patient Parking, which is in front of the next building over (#2 on the map). - if you wear contact lenses to correct your vision, please be wearing them when you come to the appointment. We cannot scan anyone wearing glasses. - it is best to wear clothing that doesn't contain much metal, as it could interfere with the scan (e.g. a shirt with metallic buttons is not a good choice). If we determine that your clothing is causing interference, we may request that you change into a standard hospital gown. The closer any metal is to your head, the more likely it is to be an issue for us (e.g. a zipper on your pants will not be an issue). - please show up on time for your appointment. When you arrive, please wait in the first floor lobby until someone arrives to take you to the scanner. There are a few benches and a sign that says "wait here for your MRI scan" or something similar. If you can arrive a few minutes early, there is a chance that we could get started on your paperwork and training (and consequently get started with the actual scan earlier). Once again, thank you for your willingness to participate. If you have any questions prior to your scan, please don't hesitate to email. Best, Jamie Floyd
