Back from Spring Break, and totally stoked for the last three weeks before Summer!

So, what do we think about simulations? Interesting? Fun? Useful? Boring? Duller than dirt? Useful only by nerds and geeks?
Do simulations make sense in terms of video games and animated movies? Are they helping in understanding how things like "Doom" and "Lord of the Rings" (referring to the Orc war scenes) are implemented?
How is Homework 8? Reasonable or beyond the pale?

So, I was looking through the Agent class and saw "protected" access. Protected? What exactly does that mean, java-wise? Who can access it?

Protected (it's in the book, BTW) is accessible by the class and its subclasses. Mark Guzdial

Homework 8 is hard. Not very hard, but hard. The agents don't do what you want them to do most of the time.

So, since homework 8 is hard, I believe we should all get to drop a homework grade to balance out the difficulty to our grades.

Because Georgia Tech is hard, we should grade like we were at a lesser school (perhaps, UGa :-)?

Well...I like the drop a homework grade thing. HW1 still haunts me.

I say we burn cars if we don't get to drop a homework!

Burning cars is a bit too far...and computers are more fun to burn.
But, yeah...I still wanna drop a homework grade.

Two words for HW8......

CORN EXPLOSION!!!

The only way to create a balance in HW8 is to make the deer and wolves reproduce. The corn numbers can go up and down, but deer and wolves can only go down. That messes up the whole circle of life thing. It's just like in nature; when you wipe out an entire species, whatever the species ate starts to populate faster. Or, in the case of the corn, grow out of control.
