Mahmoud is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan. He received his bachelor's degree from Cairo University in 2011. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, he worked as a research assistant for two years at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar. His research areas of interest include natural language processing and multimodal machine learning.
