Welcome to CS 1120
CS 1120 provides an introduction to computer science. It assumes no
previous background beyond experience with email. The class
focuses on describing and reasoning about information processes using
language and logic. We will incorporate motivating examples from
the liberal arts and sciences areas such as art, biology, economics,
narrative, physics, and sociology.
CS 1120 is not required for
College students majoring in
Computer Science. Students make meet the prerequisites for the major
by taking CS 1120, CS 1110, CS 1111, or CS 1112 with a grade of C+ or
better.
CS 1120 is a great course — and a difficult course.
It is open to all College students.
