In case anyone is interested in what I have myself...

  • Dell Inspiron 7000 D300LT, PII
  • 15" XGA Active Matrix Display
  • 192 MB RAM (purchased with 64 MB)
  • 2X DVD + Floppy Drive
  • 8 GB Hard Drive (I used Partition Magic to non-destructively resize the Win98 partition to 3 GB and give the other half to Linux)
  • 8 MB ATI Rage LT Pro Video Card
  • Modem: 56k Internal Lucent Technologies Winmodem (useless in Linux)
  • Modem: 56k PCMCIA 3Com 3CCM156 (upgraded to V.90)
  • Ethernet: 10/100 Mbps PCMCIA 3Com 3CCFE575BT Cardbus
  • SCSI: Adaptec SlimSCSI 1480A Cardbus
  • Inspiron 7000 Port Replicator
