AVS Michigan 37th Spring Symposium

White-LEDs for Automotive and General Lighting Applications

We sincerely welcome you to participate in the 37th AVS Michigan Spring Symposium.  This year's event is dedicated to providing an overview of innovative scientific and technological developments in solid-state lighting technologies based on white-light LEDs for automotive and general lighting applications.  We have invited world-renowned academic and industrial experts to give 8 invited talks throughout the day.  The keynote will be presented by Professor E. Fred Schubert from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  Professor Schubert's book Light-Emitting Diodes is one of the most well-known textbooks in this field.  The highlights of the event include:

  • Vendor exhibition (open to public free of charge 10 am - 6pm)

  • Student poster session and award competition with cash prizes in total of $500! 

  •  Wine and cheese reception

  • Breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, and social events
