John received a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Sound Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2010. He then worked in industry for several years designing high-precision frequency synthesizers and crystal oscillators for Connor Winfield while starting up a digital-violin synthesis company called Weinreich Labs. He has also worked as a professional live sound engineer since 2007, which has given him the honor to tour internationally with acts such as Robert Plant and Modest Mouse.
Peter is from Moscow, Idaho. He is new to the group in 2015.
Fred spent several years in the US Navy; he is a great videographer, and is interested in saving the group scads of money.
Kyojin (David) Choo
Kyojin was born in Vancouver(Canada), was raised in Seoul(Korea), got BS and MS from Seoul National University, had worked for Samsung then joined the group in 2013. He has experiences designing high-speed serial links and image sensors and is currently working on a serial-link project, but he is often engaged into problems such as 'how to make our jobs easier' or 'what the next big wave of IC is going to be.'
Nick grew up in Washington D.C. and Ann Arbor, MI. His interest in audio electronics led him to analog circuits and data converters. His current research interests are reconfigurable medium to high resolution ADCs.
Batu is new to the group in Fall 2012. He is interested in IC and VLSI.
Mohammad Mahdi Ghahramani was born in Shiraz, Iran. He earned his B.Eng degree with First Class Honors from University College Cork, Ireland in 2007. He is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan. His research interests are in analog and RF circuits and systems.
Sunmin is from Korea. He got his BS degree from Seoul National University. He has joined our group in 2015. He likes Mixed Signal IC design and is working on bandpass beamformer.
Yong is new to the group in Fall 2012. He loves mixed signal design and ADC.
Daniel is from Germany. He had visited the U.S. several times before his interest in IC design led him to Michigan. He joined our group in 2013.
Chunyang has been here since 2010. She got her BS from Harbin Institute of Technology. She is interested in ADC architecture and wireless sensors.
Chunyang Zhai was awarded the Rackham International Student Fellowship for 2011-12.
Justin is a University of Florida student who ventured north to intern with the group in Summer 2014. He left with a great interest in RF and analog design; as well as a burning desire to see the Headlands International Dark Sky Park (best stargazing area in Michigan).
Wolf E. Flynn
Wolf was born in Saginaw and has been studying analog to digital conversion in the Flynn´s backyard. He thinks this means to dig.
