MediaTools

MediaTools are Squeak-based tools for exploring media. They're especially great for live sound demonstrations.

Download MediaTools image (same thing for any platform) and unzip it. You'll get a ".image" file.
Visit http://www.squeak.org to get a Squeak VM (Virtual Machine) – for Windows, a .exe file; for Mac, a .app file. I use Squeak app all-in-one successfully.
Drag the .image file onto your VM.

Documentation for how to use MediaTools is in the Python Media Computation books. Version 6 has support (in pixel tools) for scaling down (or up) pictures, which is useful for getting 12 megapixel pictures into a form that MediaComp can process in reasonable time.
