Finch Robot Lending Library for 2014-2015

The Institute for Computing Education (ICE) at Georgia Tech has 15 finch robots that we can lend to schools. These can be programmed with a special version of Alice or Scratch, Python, Java and can be used with DrJava, Greenfoot, or JES. You will have to leave a deposit of $50.00 when you borrow up to 8 finches and a deposit of $100.00 when you borrow up to 15 finches. If the finches are not returned intact the deposit will be forfeited. If you choose to leave the deposit in the form of a check make it payable to the "Georgia Institute of Technology". The check will be returned with a confirmation letter if the phones are returned on time and in good condition (with all parts).

Each school can borrow up to 15 of the finches at a time for a time period up to 3 weeks during the school year. We use the finches in our summer camps and teacher workshops in the summer. The teacher is responsible for picking up the sets from Georgia Tech and for returning the robots to Georgia Tech unless other arrangements have been made. The sign-up is first come first served.
