11/9/2013 Interactive Computing with LEGO WeDo (GS)


Time: 12pm - 3pm
Open to Girl Scouts: 3rd - 6th grade
Max: 60 (paired with 2 per computer)
Location: Klaus Advanced Computing building, room 1456.
Workers: Emily (lead), Barry, Alexandra and volunteers from Humanitech

Build a goalie that tries to block a shot, a ball kicker that automatically kicks the ball when it gets close, or an alligator that tries to chomp on anything in its mouth with the LEGO WeDo kit which has LEGO parts, a motor, and sensors. Program your creation using free software called Scratch by just snapping blocks together to tell the computer what to do. See http://coweb.cc.gatech.edu/ice-gt/1475 for more information.
