Microsoft Kinect Lending Library for 2012-2013

The Institute for Computing Education (ICE) at Georgia Tech has 10 Microsoft Kinects that we can lend to schools. The Kinects can be used with Greenfoot. You will have to leave a deposit of $50 to borrow up to 5 and $100.00 when you borrow up to 10 Kinects. If the Kinects are not returned intact the deposit will be forfeited. If you choose to leave the deposit in the form of a check make it payable to the "Georgia Institute of Technology". The check will be returned with a confirmation letter if the phones are returned on time and in good condition (with all parts).

Each school can borrow up to 10 Kinects at a time for a time period up to 3 weeks during the school year. We use the Kinects in our summer camps and teacher workshops in the summer. The teacher is responsible for picking up the equipment from Georgia Tech and for returning the equipment to Georgia Tech unless other arrangements have been made. The sign-up is first come first served.

You will need to install software to use the Kinect with Greenfoot. See http://www.greenfoot.org/doc/kinect/ for instructions!
