This event will take place at Camp Timber Ridge from 9:30am - 3:30pm. The girls will be doing rotations starting at 10:40am and ending at 3:10pm. They expect 25 girls at each station. We will be hosting four stations during each rotation. So, we will need at least 12 people for the day. Each session lasts 40 minutes. We will need to pre-build the NXT robots and WeDos. We will want markers for the Finches and cards with programs on them for the girls to try.
Equipment:
34 laptops (for this many people we should have 60 laptops)
17 pre built LEGO NXT - build 15 of the Domabots (with the motors attached to B and C), one of the flipping gymnast (http://nxtprograms.com/gymnast/index.html), and the puppy (see http://nxtprograms.com/puppy/index.html) and - the NXT bricks must be fully charged. We should also remove extra files from the NXT bricks.
15 LEGO WeDo Kits - should we pre build the ball kicker (and balls) and top spinner and just have them program?
15 Finches with electrical tape to hold a marker on them and large white paper or poster board for the Finches to draw on
15 Pleos - with 2 fully charged batteries.
