Music and Dancing with LEGO NXT and Scratch (July 16-20th, 2012)


Do you like to create music or dance? During this week you will unleash your creativity and make animated dances and even robots that can dance and play music.


Objectives:
Students will create virtual model of pitched instrument.
Students will create a virtual percussion instrument that generates rhythms that vary in tempo and timbre based on variable inputs.
Students will measure amplitude in sound and use graphics to represent changes in sound intensity.
Students will create an animation with a short musical selection.
Students will build and program a robot that reacts to sound intensity or music.
Students will create a dance or movement routine for a robot.
Students will create a robot that plays a musical instrument.
