Teacher Workshop HTML5 3/31/2012

Barbara Ericson and Barbara Fox (bfox@ncchristian.org) will lead this workshop from 8:30am - 4:00pm in Klaus Advanced Computing Building, Room #1447. For directions see Directions to the Klaus Advanced Computing Building. This workshop will introduce you to HTML5 and JavaScript. Teachers do not need any previous experience in web development to attend. All attendees will receive the book "Head First HTML5 Programming".

Public school high school teachers must register on http://www.ctaern.org for workshop CTAERN3398 (look in new catalog). Everyone must also register at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WebDevelop. Teachers must attend the entire workshop, do 2 hours of extra work, and attend a 1 hour webinar on May 1st from 8:00pm - 9:00pm to get 1 PLU. This workshop is free for Georgia teachers. Thanks to our National Science Foundation grants we can also pay for the hotel for Friday night (2 teachers per room), Friday night dinner, and Saturday breakfast if you are a Georgia teacher who lives more than 30 miles from Georgia Tech. If you would prefer a private room you can pay 1/2 the hotel cost. We do not cover alcohol or room service! We will cover parking for Georgia teachers who stay at the hotel and reimburse parking for Georgia teachers who do not stay at the hotel. We will pay for lunch for all teachers. Space is limited to 30.

Please bring a laptop if you have one, or notify us if you need to borrow a laptop. If you are bringing a laptop you must have one of the following browsers installed: Internet Explorer 9.0, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, or Opera.

Out-of-state teachers pay $140. Checks for $140.00 should be made out to Georgia Institute of Technology and sent to:
