Recruiting
Strategies to recruit more students into AP CS:
- Send a letter to all students with a certain grade in Math or in any other AP course. Sample Letter
- Give talks to other classes about what AP CS is. Don't just talk to Math classes but also other AP courses.
- Target girls and under represented groups (African Americans, Hispanic, Native American). Talk to girl leaders and get her to recruit other girls.
- Have a career night and post want ads for computing jobs.
- Make a showcase of what cool things you are doing in AP CS or CS in general (collages, movies, animations, games, robots, etc).
