Digital Art in Scratch Webinar - Nov 24, 2010
The free webinar on creating digital art in Scratch will be from 1:00pm - 2:00pm on Wednesday Nov 24th, 2010. Scratch is free software from MIT that you can use to create 2D animations, tell stories, make interactive art, and make games. The website for Scratch is http://scratch.mit.edu.
In this webinar you will learn how to use Scratch to create cool digital art. You will create interactive art that changes when you move the mouse or press keys. You will teach a spider how to spin flowers out of simple shapes.
To prepare for this webinar please download Scratch 1.4 from http://scratch.mit.edu. Click the "Download Scratch" button.
- Go through the tutorial at http://info.scratch.mit.edu/node/164
- You should also explore at least some of the examples that come with Scratch. To see these click on File and then Open and then click on "Examples" on the left side of the window. Check out 8 DayDream in Animation, 7 BugOnAPlate in Games, and 6 WHEEE in Interactive Art.
