Principal's Meeting on Computing - Jan 21, 2011

The Institue for Computing Education (ICE) at Georgia Tech's College of Computing is hosting a meeting on Friday
Jan, 21, 2011 from 9:30am - 1:00pm in the Klaus Advanced Computing Building. This meeting is for principals, assistant principals of instruction, counselors, and CTAE directors (this meeting is not for computing teachers!). We will provide lunch and reimburse parking for all attendees. We will also provide lodging for Thursday night for individuals coming from more than 60 miles away.

A recent report, "Running on Empty: The Failure to Teach Computer Science in the Digital Age" details how the U.S. has fallen behind in preparing students with the fundamental computer science knowledge and skills that they will need to succeed in the 21st century (for more information see http://csta.acm.org/runningonempty/).
