15 minutes - Kinesthic Learning Activity: boolean game
30 minutes - Group storytelling activity
1 hour - Take pictures of the students in front of the green screen (several poses so that they can make a dance in Scratch) and have them work on a story to introduce themselves to the rest of the students or an animated greeting card like the one at http://nebomusic.net/scratch.html
30 minutes - have the students show off what they have done.
30 minutes - Modify the pong game to add a score (variables) Scratch-addScore.mp4
1 hour - Challenge the students to modify the pong game to make the ball move faster as the score increases (using a variable). For more of a challenge ask them to create a pong type game but with one ball and two paddles and the ball should move horizontally. Students can also add more than one ball.

After camp unload the green screen pictures to Greenscreen Pictures of Cool Girls Camp May 24-27.

Tuesday 10am - 4pm

30 minutes - continue with changes to pong game from yesterday - show how to speed up the ball if they haven't figured it out Scratch-speed.mp4. Also show how to let the user know if s/he won addWon.mp4. Ask them to add a message if you lost as well (hit the red line).
30 minutes - Share the modified pong games.
30 minutes - show the guessing game and show how to join strings together.
30 minutes - challenge the students to do a madlib game. Ask the user for his/her favorite color, animal, and number. Make up silly sentences to go with the answers.

30 minutes CS Unplugged: binary numbers and/or Flowchart hopscotch
2 hours - Pick another project from http://nebomusic.net/scratch.html to do or continue work on the pong game.
30 minutes share the projects you have been working on

Wed 10am - 4pm

30 minutes - show the kids how to create a scene in Storytelling Alice. See StorytellingStart.mp4 at http://home.cc.gatech.edu/TeaParty/57.
1 hour - have the kids create a scene and have at least 1 of the characters in the scene do something.
30 minutes - show what they have created.

30 minutes - tour of campus
30 minutes - CS Unplugged: sending secret messages with binary
15 minutes - Show how to create a method in Alice (see http://home.cc.gatech.edu/TeaParty/57 - creatingAMethod.mp4).
1 hour - Have students try to create their own method.
15 minutes - Show how to create a parameter for a method in Alice (see http://home.cc.gatech.edu/TeaParty/57 addingParameters.mp4)
1 hour - students work on methods with parameters what they have created.

Thurs 10am - 4pm

15 minutes - Talk to the students about storyboarding - planning out your movie or story. They can watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxmT-zQc1GQ&feature=related as an example.
15 minutes - Show the girls how to save out a new class in Alice (see http://home.cc.gatech.edu/TeaParty/57 SaveClassWithNewName.mp4)
1.5 hours - work on their stories and have the girls work in groups to design the story as a storyboard
lunch
2.5 hours - Have each girl create methods for a class and save it out as a new class. Put all the new classes together in one world to tell the story. If they get done early you can even have them add a class from another group.
30 minutes CS Unplugged card trick (error detection http://www.csunplugged.org/error-detection)
45 minutes have the girls show off their Alice stories.
15 minutes - post surveys at http://findings.ms-post-survey.sgizmo.com?school=GT&workshop=CoolGirls05242010 and give the girls some of the brochures aimed at girls.
