5. How much money are you requesting? We do not plan to give more than $5,000 to any one organization.
$4800
6. Please give a short justification for the money you are requesting. What will it be used for?
We need to purchase 16 Pico Crickets kits @ $250 each = $4000. We plan on using one kit per student unless our enrollment exceeds 15 in which case, we will double students up per kit. Two of the four summer camps will use Pico Crickets. We have already purchased 12 Lego NXT Robot kits with department funds which should be enough for a class of 22. If we average 15 students for each of the four camps, our budget is short $200/camp, so we are requesting $800 to allow us to pay the teacher @ $15/hr an hour instead of $10/hr.

25-50%

Summer program brochures have already been distributed to the schools and the girl scouts. We distributed flyers yesterday to a few teachers and students in a workshop we conducted and will be distributed several hundred flyers tomorrow to tenth grade students and teachers from Troup County at a Career Day. We plan on distributing flyers to Girl and Boy Scouts, Girl and Boy Clubs, Junior Achievement, and technology teachers in the next two weeks.

16 - $100 scholarships which should average slightly over 25% if we average 15 students per camp
