Sampling Heuristics
The above results suggest the following heuristics for the product polynomial
problem. They can be explained analytically, but the computational results were
important in pointing them out.

but one is
more confident in the
prior information on Population 1, then
sample more from Population 2 initially.

and the variances of
the populations are about equal, then sample more from Population 1.
