	I have read the syllabus and fully understand the course policies
	on grading, re-grades, late homework, exam schedules, incompletes,
	and homework collaboration.

	I also understand that the material in this course is inherently
	cumulative, so that keeping up with the content is very important.

	If I am a CS/CE/CSE major, I recognize that EECS 401 is not a degree
	requirement and that I have alternative choices (see your advisor).
	I am electing to take EECS 401 fully aware that it is a calculus-
	intensive treatment of probability and random variables with an
	emphasis on communications and signal processing applications.
