Current Research:

Focus on silicon implementation of AES Rijndael algorithm and the countermeasurement against Differential power analysis (DPA). 

AES has been designed to be secure against cryptanalysis that has access to plaintext and ciphertext. However, the hardware implementation provides the attacker with important information such as time delay and power consumption to find the secret key. Differential power analysis (DPA) is currently the most popular higher order power analysis. This scheme utilizes power profiles gathered form several runs and relies on the data-dependent power consumption variation to identify the specific portions of the program being executed and break the key.
