Wireless self-powered low-power sensor systems and its application.
1. Low power switched-capacitor DC-DC voltage up/down regulator
Inductive voltage regulators require large volume for inductors, making them not favorable with small systems. Switched-capacitor DC-DC converters can be made small, but they generally have less performance than inductive ones, and have limited conversion ratio. My research aims to make a low-power effective capacitive DC-DC converters with multiple output voltage levels.
2. Low-power low-energy capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC)
Most previous CDCs consume much energy for one sample, and their energy efficiency is much worse than ADCs with similar structure. My research is to develop an energy-and power-efficient CDCs which is suited for small wireless systems.
