Ultra-low power and energy efficient circuit design
A SAR ADC to save energy for signals with low average activity.
A constant charge subtraction scheme is introduced to replace a power hungry continuous comparator with an asynchronously clocked comparator, enabling ultra-low power time tracking.
Achieves ultra-low power by introducing a process invariant temperature sensing element. Sensor operation is based on temperature independent/dependent current sources that are used with oscillators and counters to generate a digital temperature code.
